Furniture Manufactured in Sweden

In-house manufacturing and quality control

Every piece from by Crea is made in our own factory in Malmö. The work happens in one space where steel is shaped, wood is prepared, and fabrics are stitched with care. We choose to produce everything ourselves so we can follow each detail from the first idea to the final touch. It lets us adjust, improve, and refine with intention every day. Our furniture is made to order so that each piece is created for a real home.

No assembly lines. Just hands, eyes, and experience.

No assembly lines. Just hands, eyes, and experience.

Our craftsmen and craftswomen work in small, specialized teams, welders, upholsterers, powder-coaters, and assemblers, each responsible for their part of the process.

Every product passes through multiple hands and quality checks before it leaves the factory. It’s a slower way to work, but that’s exactly why it lasts longer.

We take pride in knowing who made what, every piece has a story behind it, and a person who stands by it.

From raw steel to refined form

Each frame begins as cold, raw steel. It’s cut, welded, and sanded until it meets our exacting tolerances.

The frame then moves to powder coating, where we apply durable finishes in carefully developed hues, matte black, warm beige, crisp white, and more.

Our upholstery team takes over next, sewing every seat and backrest by hand, ensuring alignment, tension, and comfort are perfect before final assembly. This rhythm of collaboration is what gives by Crea® furniture its unmistakable feel, not industrial, but human.

Why we keep production local

Local production isn’t a slogan; it’s our foundation. It ensures short transport distances, real accountability, and a direct relationship between design, manufacturing, and the customer. If something can be improved, it happens immediately, in the same building. It’s the only way we know how to maintain true quality and transparency.

Crafted for life not for season

Our factory is more than a place of work, it’s the heart of by Crea®. It’s where design meets dedication, and where we prove that craftsmanship still has a place in modern production. Every product we send out carries that belief, from Malmö, with purpose.

FAQ

Where is by Crea® furniture produced?

All by Crea® furniture is produced in the company’s own factory in Malmö, Sweden.

Design, metal fabrication, woodworking, upholstery, and final assembly are handled internally. Production is not outsourced to third-party manufacturers.

The production location is fixed. It does not vary by product or market.

Does by Crea® manufacture everything in-house?

Yes. by Crea® controls the full production process in-house.

This includes:

  • frame construction
  • surface finishing
  • upholstery work
  • final quality control

External suppliers provide raw materials only. Manufacturing, assembly, and finishing remain internal.

Is by Crea® furniture made to order or produced in advance?

Both production methods are used.

Bestseller models are often produced in advance. These follow fixed specifications and shorter delivery times.

Made-to-order products are produced after purchase. These allow defined customization within strict production constraints.

The production method is determined by the product configuration.

How does by Crea® ensure consistent quality across production runs?

Quality control is integrated into each production stage.

Frames, finishes, and upholstery are checked before assembly. Final inspection is completed before packaging.

Because production is handled in one location:

  • materials behave consistently
  • construction tolerances remain stable
  • design specifications do not drift over time

This reduces variation between batches.

How does production affect durability and product lifespan?

Production methods are chosen to support long-term use.

Steel and solid wood structures are prioritized. Joinery, welding, and fastening methods are selected for stability under daily load.

Some models are designed with replaceable components. This allows maintenance without replacing the entire product.

Durability is addressed during production, not added afterward.
