Teak on Algot is slatted so rain drains straight through. It weathers to silver-grey, or keeps its warm brown with teak oil once a year. Teak is warmer to the eye; stone is the one you forget about.
Stone or teak?
Dekton on Anton and Leo is sintered stone fired under high pressure. It does not fade in sun, does not stain, does not crack in frost, and needs no sealing. Wipe with any household cleaner. It is not marble.
Which size and height?
Aim for a top about level with the seat of your lounge chair or sofa. Low lounge seats suit the 41.5 to 45 cm tables.
| Table | Sizes | Heights |
|---|---|---|
| Anton | 100 x 75, 70 x 60, 65 x 55 cm | 47.5, 43.5, 41.5 cm |
| Leo | ø95, ø80, ø70 cm | 52.5, 47.5, 42.5 cm |
| Algot | 74.5 x 65, 65 x 55.5 cm | 45, 41.5 cm |
Round or rectangular?
Round, Leo, for a group of chairs around one table: everyone can reach it, and there is no corner to knock a shin on. Rectangular, Anton, in front of a sofa or along a bench, where the table follows the line of the seat.
Leo comes in ø95, ø80 and ø70 cm and stands a little taller, up to 52.5 cm. Anton runs from 65 x 55 to 100 x 75 cm, 41.5 to 47.5 cm high. Algot, in teak, is rectangular too.
Why a nesting set?
The smaller table slides under the larger one. On a busy evening you pull them apart for two surfaces; the rest of the week they stand as one. Side by side, the Anton small set runs 135 cm and the Leo medium set 150 cm.
Outside, two smaller tables are also easier to move out of the rain or into the shade than one large one.
Will the frame rust?
Anton and Leo outdoor frames are welded through and powder-coated for outdoor use, with no fittings to work loose. Algot is stainless steel with stainless fixings, so nothing bleeds rust onto the teak. Wipe frames with a damp cloth in spring.
