If you want one set of chairs for meals and lounging, buy dining chairs. Lounge chairs at a dining table put your chin at plate height.
Lounge chair or dining chair?
A dining chair sits at 18 in, upright, for a 30 in table. A lounge chair sits lower and deeper and leans back. Kenny has a seat height of 15 to 19 in, a 20.9 in seat depth and arms at 19.3 in.
Kenny or Arvid?
Kenny is the soft one: an outdoor mesh seat and back that drain the moment rain lands, with an Oat olefin cushion included. Stainless steel frame.
Arvid is the warm one: teak slats on a black powder-coated steel frame with integrated arms. Bare teak for the summer, or add the Arvid two-piece cushion in Oat or Dusk, sold separately. The teak weathers silver-gray unless oiled once a year.
Which table?
A lounge table should sit about level with the seat, so a glass is at hand without leaning. Algot teak tables are 16.3 in (Small, 65 x 21.9 in) and 17.7 in (Medium, 74.5 x 25.6 in), and nest.
For a stone top, the outdoor Anton and Leo coffee tables come in Dekton sintered stone, 16.3 to 20.5 in high.
Balcony or terrace?
On a balcony, one lounge chair and the small Algot or a small Leo leave room to pass. On a terrace, two chairs facing the view with a nesting pair between them is the classic set.
Kenny is 26.2 in wide. Measure the balcony depth before ordering two.
Assembly and care
Both arrive partly assembled. Wipe frames with a damp cloth in spring. Lift cushions in for long rain and winter.
