We understand! A large furniture purchase from a company in Sweden might seem scary, especially when you are not sure of the comfort, fabric or color choices and delivery distance.
Overall our return rate is at 0.5% which is probably the lowest in the business. This is because we go to great lengths to help you make the right choice before you order to avoid returns.
These are the services we offer to help you make the right choice:
- To know which colors/fabrics you are looking for we offer to ship free samples of frame colors, fabrics, stones and other materials we have available.
- To be sure that you are choosing the right height and also the right amount of chairs we are pros at helping you getting it right. Besides the guides we have online if you chat with us or email us at info@by-crea.com with your counter or table measurements and we will let you know what amount and size will fit you! We have never had a return due to incorrect size advice and we also normally double check with you if you order our tallest bar stools just to be sure you are getting the right ones!
- We also love to get in touch with you and having a facetime call at a time that suits you does wonders. Book a call here and we will get in touch with you and showcase the items and colors you need and clear out any uncertainties.
- If you are still uncertain we offer you the option of buying 1 chair with 100% free return so you can try the comfort. If you like it you simply go ahead and order the remaining amount you need. If you don’t like it you email us and get a return label!
Yes of course! Choose bank transfer at the checkout and then you will receive an email with instructions on how to pay. Once the order is paid we will manufacture and ship it. To speed things up send us an email with payment confirmation and we will start production directly.
Taxes (VAT) and import charges are always included in our prices on our website. When ordering as a private consumer you will never receive separate invoices with duties or taxes after ordering from by Crea®.
We accept all major credit cards and offer split payments via Affirm, Klarna (pay later, pay now, or split) or Paythen as well. We also have additional regional payment options based on your location. If you want to pay in a different way just send us an email!
Each by Crea® “design your own” piece is made to order in our Swedish factory, just for you. Simply choose your preferred style, material, and finish directly on the product page. Once you're happy with your custom selection, add the piece to your cart and proceed to checkout. We will manufacture it in our factory to your specifications and air ship it to your door with Fedex or UPS. The reason for the higher prices for our “design your own” products is due to higher shipping/handling costs with transport and also because we handmake each piece individually which raises the costs substantially.
Our bestseller options are also handmade in our factory in Sweden but large scale produced and then pre-stocked in our partnered warehouse in the United States and will be fulfilled by USPS. Since we have stocked this facility in May and are continuously stocking it every week all variations aren’t available in the US facility but we will inform you if your order would be affected by any delay. This facility allows us to deliver within a couple of days to you in the US.
Every furniture piece has a detailed description, clear measurements, and customization options listed on its product page. For each piece there is a measurement icon on the 3d visualizer that can provide size guides and also if you click on the size guide icon you can find the correct measurements and size guide. For visual references, you’ll also find product photos and lifestyle images that help you picture the piece in your home. Need help choosing the right size or finish? Once you have placed your order you will receive and email confirming your order. If you chose bank transfer you will first need to pay the order before its produced and fulfilled.
Kindly note: Once production has started for a “design your own” product, the order can no longer be canceled or modified, as each piece is custom-made specifically for you.
Product Information
Every by Crea® piece is handcrafted in our factory in Sweden using carefully selected, high-quality materials, including FSC-certified oak, Dekton stone, and durable powder-coated steel. Our materials are chosen not only for their aesthetics, but for their longevity and sustainability. Not only do we produce our furniture with long lasting materials but we also are re-designing our entire collection so you can replace specific pieces of your furniture (cushions and so on). Our goal is that your furniture can be renewed after many many years at a cheaper cost so it can be life lasting for you and your family.
We offer a curated selection of wood finishes, seat fabrics, and stone surfaces so your piece matches your interior seamlessly. If you dont find an option you are looking for let us know. We do offer the possibility of choosing your own fabric for our chairs and bar stools and produce the cushions with your fabric at a cost. Accurate product dimensions are listed on every product page under the "size-guide" section. We recommend measuring your space carefully before ordering. If you need help determining the best fit, especially for bar stools or dining chairs, we´re here to help. Chat with us or email us and we will guide you through it!
The majority of our furniture comes pre-assembled or requires only minimal setup. For our dining tables, you will need to screw the legs together with the table tops. But we will of course assist you if you are in any doubt!
Each material is of course different but since we use extremely high quality powder coating, highend wood and lacquer and also military graded fabrics having by Crea® furniture means low maintenance needs.
For almost all surfaces to clean we recommend using a soft, damp cloth, lukewarm water and normal dishwashing detergent for daily cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals with thinners, especially on wood surfaces. Our dekton stones we use are probably the toughest materials available for private and commercial use and can withstand scratching, cutting with knifes, heat and most chemicals. They are also made to be outdoors all year round.
Shipping & Delivery
If you order “design your own” products the production time is normally 1-3 weeks and delivery time (door to door from Sweden to the US) is around 2-5 business days.
If you order Bestseller products and they are stocked in the US the delivery time is normally a couple of days.
For the US when we ship design your own products directly from Sweden to you in the US (2-5 business days) we use Fedex or UPS.
When delivering bestseller products directly from our warehouse in the US we use USPS domestically. Takes around 1-3 business days.
As soon as your furniture leaves our factory or our warehouse in the US you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details. This allows you to follow your delivery in real time and plan accordingly.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on your delivery address and the size of your order. For larger pieces or international deliveries, additional handling fees may apply. All costs are clearly stated before you complete your purchase.
On the day of delivery, make sure someone is available to receive the shipment. Delivery is always to your gate or front door. If your delivery includes multiple items, they may arrive together or in separate shipments depending on packaging and logistics.
Our carriers normally have a delivery time window of 4-6 hours. In the US it is customary to deliver even if you are not home if you live in a house.
I want to return a product - how do I do it?
Returns are particularly challenging for us, as each piece is handcrafted and shipped fully assembled in Sweden. Returns are both costly and unsustainable. To avoid returns, we do everything we can to help you feel confident before placing your order. We offer:
- Materials samples - If you are unsure about colors or finishes, we can send you material samples. This allows you to see and feel the fabrics and wood surfaces in your own home, in the right lighting and environment, before making a decision.
- FaceTime Consultations - Schedule a personal video consultation with our team. We will guide you through product options, details, and customizations, ensuring that every choice fits your vision and space.
- Test Chair with Free Return Shipping - If you are uncertain about comfort, you can order a single chair as a trial. This way, you can experience the seating in person before committing to a complete set, risk-free.
- Photos & Videos on Request - If you need more clarity, we are happy to provide additional images or videos of the furniture so you can feel fully confident in your selection.
7.1 Return Policy
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is new and unused, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. A 25% fee of the total order value will be retained on all returns, unless the product is faulty. In the case of a faulty item, proof of the defect is required. Return shipping labels can be provided upon request.
7.2 Procedure for Returns
Contact us at info@by-crea.com for return instructions. Please examine your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery (or after installation, if applicable). Promptly notify us in writing and taking photos of any errors, damage, or defects that are apparent in the goods or installation so we can address them. Claims may be reduced or rejected if we are not given the opportunity to correct the issues.
7.3 Refunds
If you wish to return a bestseller or a ‘design your own’ product that has not been customized in height, length, or fabric, please contact us at info@by-crea.com. We will provide you with detailed return instructions and the necessary return labels. Once the item is received in its original, unused condition, we will process your refund. The refund will equal the full order amount minus a 25% fee of the total order value.
Please allow 3-5 business days from the receipt of your return for us to process it and conduct a quality control review. Once the refund is issued, you will receive a notification via email.
7.4 Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to product availability and must be requested within 14 days of delivery. We normally don't charge a cost for handling or producing a new product since we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase but we will charge for the shipping costs back and forth. These costs will be provided to you and only be fulfilled upon your acceptance of change.
