Description
Arvid is a low outdoor lounge chair in powder-coated steel with a seat and back of solid Grade A teak, handmade in Sweden for terraces, balconies and outdoor spaces. The welded frame carries integrated armrests, and the teak slats give the black steel its warm counterweight. Full dimensions are in the dropdown below.
The chair is built to stay outside. The powder coating forms a hardened barrier against moisture, UV and corrosion and needs no seasonal treatment, and Grade A teak is a dense, highly weather-resistant grade of the timber. Left alone the teak turns a silver-gray patina over one or two seasons; a pass of teak oil once a season holds the original warm tone instead. Arvid works bare or with the Arvid outdoor lounge cushion, sold separately as a two-piece seat and back set.
Like every by Crea original, Arvid is designed by Alexandra Pettersson, welded and powder-coated in our own factory in Malmö. It carries 200 kg, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Black is the stocked finish; beige, white and taupe are made to order through Design Your Own.

Durability & Certifications
Care & Maintenance
Frame
Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
Yes. The powder-coated steel frame is rated for permanent outdoor exposure and needs no seasonal treatment, and Grade A teak is naturally moisture and weather resistant. Arvid is built to stay out through all four seasons.
No. Arvid is sold without a cushion. The Arvid outdoor lounge cushion is a separate product, a two-piece seat and back set, and the chair is designed to work with or without it. If you add it, both pieces machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and air dry.
Very little. Left untreated the teak weathers to a silver-grey patina over one to two seasons. To keep the original warm tone, apply teak oil once or twice a season. Clean with mild soap and warm water. No sanding or chemical treatment is needed.
The powder coating forms a hardened, bonded surface that resists moisture, UV and corrosion. It is highly resistant to chipping and peeling under normal outdoor use and needs no seasonal maintenance. Wipe it down with a damp cloth when needed.
Black is the stocked finish. Beige, white and taupe are made to order through Design Your Own, where you pick the frame colour and see it in 3D before you order.
In our own factory in Malmö, Sweden. The frame is welded and powder-coated in house and every chair is inspected by hand before it ships.
