Description
Isa is an outdoor dining chair without armrests, built on a welded stainless steel frame in a black powder coat, with an outdoor mesh base in the seat and backrest and a wrap cushion in Oat olefin. Handmade in Sweden for terraces, pool decks and outdoor tables.
The mesh is structural rather than decorative. It spans the seat and the backrest inside the frame, so air moves through the chair and rain drains the moment it lands instead of sitting in the upholstery. Over it goes a single wrap cushion in Sunproof Fontelina olefin, 100% solution-dyed at 357 g/m², which lifts off to wash and is made to stay outside: weathering fastness 7 to 8, 1,500 hours of tested weatherability, and certification to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and UV Standard 801. Oat is a pale warm off-white that holds its tone in direct sun.
Designed by Alexandra Pettersson and welded in our own factory in Malmö. Without armrests Isa is 43 cm wide against Elsy's 50, so more chairs fit along the same table and they push right under it when the evening ends. The seat depth is 43 cm and the chair stands 79 cm tall, the 46 cm seat suits dining tables of 72 to 76 cm, and it carries 200 kg. It arrives partly assembled, about twenty minutes, and every fastener is stainless steel so nothing on the chair can rust. Covered by our 10-year warranty and built to be repaired rather than replaced.
“Isa is Elsy without the arms. Seven centimetres narrower, which is what lets you put two more chairs along the same table.”

Durability & Certifications
Care & Maintenance
Frame
Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
The seat sits at 46 cm, which suits garden dining tables of 72 to 76 cm. That leaves 26 to 30 cm between the seat and the underside of the table.
Isa has no armrests, which takes the width from 50 cm to 43 cm. Frame, mesh base, cushion and seat height are identical. Choose Isa when you want more chairs along the table, Elsy when you want somewhere to rest your arms.
Yes. The frame is powder-coated stainless steel rated for permanent outdoor exposure, the mesh base is weatherproof, and the olefin cushion is tested to 1,500 hours of weatherability and certified to UV Standard 801.
Yes, in the machine. The wrap cushion lifts off in one piece. Wash it cool on a gentle cycle and let it air dry rather than tumble drying. The olefin is solution-dyed and water repellent, so ordinary rain needs no action at all.
About twenty minutes. Every fastener supplied is stainless steel, so nothing on the chair can rust.
In our own factory in Malmö, Sweden. The frame is welded and powder-coated in house and every chair is inspected by hand before it ships.
