Description
Otto is an outdoor bar stool with integrated armrests, a slatted A-grade teak seat and a fully welded stainless steel frame, powder-coated black, in counter height (66 cm) and bar height (76 cm). Handmade in Sweden for terraces, pool decks and outdoor bars.
The armrests are welded into the frame rather than bolted onto it, and capped in the same teak as the seat, so the stool reads as one piece instead of a chair with attachments. There are no mechanical fittings and no visible hardware to work loose outdoors. The seat is slatted so rain drains straight through and the wood dries from both sides. Left untreated the teak weathers to an even silver-gray, and a coat of teak oil once a year holds the original warm tone instead. The arms do the work you notice last: they hold you laterally, and they give you somewhere to push up from.
Designed by Alexandra Pettersson and welded in our own factory in Malmö. Otto is delivered fully assembled and stands 92 cm high in counter height and 102 cm in bar height. The 66 cm seat suits counters of 89 to 92 cm, the 76 cm seat suits bars of 99 to 102 cm. It carries 200 kg. A seat cushion is available separately and lifts off for drying or storage. Covered by our 10-year warranty and built to be repaired rather than replaced, with spare parts available long after purchase.
“Otto adds arms without adding hardware. They are welded into the frame and capped in teak, so it reads as one piece rather than a chair with attachments.”

Durability & Certifications
Care & Maintenance
Frame
Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
The 66 cm seat suits counters of 89 to 92 cm, the 76 cm seat suits bars of 99 to 102 cm. Allow roughly 23 to 26 cm between the seat and the underside of the counter.
They share the same welded frame, the same A-grade teak slatted seat and the same two heights. Otto adds armrests welded into the frame and capped in teak, which takes the overall width to 47 cm. Allow 55 to 65 cm per stool in a row so the armrests clear each other.
Yes. The frame is powder-coated stainless steel rated for permanent outdoor exposure, and A-grade plantation teak is naturally oil-rich, so it needs no sealing to stay structurally sound outdoors.
Nothing at all, if you like the silver-grey. Left untreated the teak weathers to an even patina. To keep the original warm tone, apply teak oil once a year to the seat and armrest caps and clean with mild soap and warm water.
No. A seat cushion is available separately and lifts off for drying or winter storage. If you add one, it machine washes cool on a gentle cycle and air dries. The stool is designed to work with it or without it.
In our own factory in Malmö, Sweden. The frame is welded and powder-coated in house and every stool is inspected by hand before it ships.
