Description
Ted is an oak counter and bar stool with a backrest and an upholstered seat, a solid wood frame that lets you lean back at the counter, carrying two sculpted halves of Ivory bouclé, handcrafted in Sweden from FSC-certified German oak, in counter height (26 in / 66 cm) or bar height (30 in / 76 cm).
The seat is Ted's whole idea: split into two pieces that incline gently toward the center, shaped for how a body actually sits, here upholstered in dense Ivory bouclé over a plywood core. The wood backrest carries you through the slow end of dinner, the pale loops read like light against the dark-stained frame, and the compact footprint slides under the counter between meals.
Designed by Alexandra Pettersson, Ted is an original by Crea, handcrafted from solid FSC-certified German oak in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. Rated for up to 440 lb and covered by our 10-year warranty, it is built to be repaired rather than replaced, with spare parts available long after purchase. The 26 in seat suits counters of 35 to 36 in, the 30 in seat suits bars of 39 to 40 in, with full dimensions in the dropdown below. Stocked finishes ship from our Swedish factory within 1 to 5 business days.

Fabric
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
For a bar counter 40-42 in high, choose the 30 in (76 cm) seat; for kitchen islands and countertops around 36 in, choose the 26 in (66 cm) counter stool height. Keep roughly 9-12 in between seat and counter.
Ted's seat is sculpted from two oak pieces with a gentle incline toward the center, shaped to follow how you naturally sit. Prefer fabric? Choose the bouclé seat instead; for armrests, look at Carl.
The wood seat is solid oak in the same finish as the frame; the bouclé seat is upholstered over a plywood core for extra softness. Both use the same sculpted two-piece shape.
Wipe the oak with a damp cloth and mild soap, and keep it away from direct heat. Blot spills on the bouclé quickly, then dab gently with lukewarm water without scrubbing.
Each seat is rated for a maximum load of 440 lbs (200 kg). Ted is built from A-grade FSC-certified German oak and comes with a 10-year warranty.
