Description
Ted is an oak counter and bar stool with a backrest and an upholstered seat, dark-stained oak under two sculpted halves of Greige bouclé, handcrafted in Sweden from FSC-certified German oak, in counter height (26 in / 66 cm) or bar height (30 in / 76 cm).
Greige is the diplomatic colorway, warm grey with sand in it, and the dense bouclé softens a seat already shaped for the body: two pieces over a plywood core, inclined gently toward the center. The wood backrest holds the lean, and the frame keeps its calm dark line under the counter.
Like every by Crea original, Ted is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and handcrafted from solid FSC-certified German oak in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It is rated for up to 440 lb, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Choose 26 in for counters of 35 to 36 in, 30 in for bars of 39 to 40 in. Full dimensions sit in the dropdown below, and stocked finishes ship from our Swedish factory within 1 to 5 business days.

Fabric
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
For a bar counter 40-42 in high, choose the 30 in (76 cm) seat; for kitchen islands and countertops around 36 in, choose the 26 in (66 cm) counter stool height. Keep roughly 9-12 in between seat and counter.
Ted's seat is sculpted from two oak pieces with a gentle incline toward the center, shaped to follow how you naturally sit. Prefer fabric? Choose the bouclé seat instead; for armrests, look at Carl.
The wood seat is solid oak in the same finish as the frame; the bouclé seat is upholstered over a plywood core for extra softness. Both use the same sculpted two-piece shape.
Wipe the oak with a damp cloth and mild soap, and keep it away from direct heat. Blot spills on the bouclé quickly, then dab gently with lukewarm water without scrubbing.
Each seat is rated for a maximum load of 440 lbs (200 kg). Ted is built from A-grade FSC-certified German oak and comes with a 10-year warranty.
