Description

Svea is an upholstered backless counter and bar stool, and in Latte vegan leather it brings the warmth without the noise. A compact padded seat on four lines of black steel, handmade in Sweden, in counter height (26 in / 66 cm), bar height (30 in / 76 cm) or any custom height through Design Your Own.

The caramel seat picks up oak, walnut and every warm metal around it, and the black frame keeps the composition strict. Latte is the colorway that makes a dark kitchen friendlier and a pale one deeper. The leather wipes clean in seconds, and the stool slides fully under the counter when it is not needed.

Like every by Crea original, Svea is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and fully welded from raw Swedish steel in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It is rated for up to 440 lb, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Choose 26 in for counters of 35 to 36 in, 30 in for bars of 39 to 40 in. Full dimensions sit in the dropdown below, and stocked versions ship from our Swedish factory within 1 to 5 business days.

Durability & Certifications

The Svea bar stool is covered by a 10-year warranty, and every seat is rated for a maximum load of 200 kg (440 lbs).

Its welded steel frame is tested and certified for intensive commercial use: it complies with EN 16139 Level 2, the European standard for heavy contract use, EN 1022 for stability and EN 1728 for strength and durability. Certified by RISE, Sweden.

The Valencia vegan leather upholstery is rated at 300,000 Martindale, around ten times the requirement for commercial furniture, carries the PERMABLOK3 protective finish and a 5-year fabric warranty from Spradling.

Fire safety is covered by EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standards for resistance to ignition from a smouldering cigarette and a match flame, as well as CRIB 5, the British contract furniture fire safety requirement.

Care & Maintenance

Fabric

Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.

Frame

Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.

Delivery, Returns & Assembly

Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.

Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.

Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.

Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.

Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.

FAQ

Pick 26 in (66 cm) for standard 36 in countertops and 30 in (76 cm) for bar counters 40-42 in high, keeping 9-12 in between seat and top. Custom heights are available via Design Your Own.

For everyday counter use, yes: Svea's generous 15 x 15 in (39 x 39 cm) seat is upholstered over high-density cold-cut foam. If you want back support for longer sitting, the Freja adds a low backrest in the same minimalist style.

Yes. The upholstered seat attaches with two screws and is sold separately in every Svea fabric, so a worn or stained seat never means a new stool.

Blot spills right away, then clean with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth without scrubbing. The vegan leather version wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Svea tucks completely under the counter and keeps sightlines open, so the kitchen looks larger and walkways stay clear. Its footprint is barely wider than the seat itself.
