Description

Philip is the counter and bar stool for people who lean back, and in Jade Black velvet it leans luxurious. Seat and full backrest upholstered in one continuous gesture over a slim welded steel frame, handmade in Sweden in counter height (26 in / 66 cm), bar height (30 in / 76 cm) or any custom height through Design Your Own.

The velvet deepens the silhouette, morning grey to evening black, and the integrated backrest carries your lower back to the end of the bottle. The composite seat base keeps the upholstery taut year after year, and the slim frame still slides under the counter when the kitchen empties.

Like every by Crea original, Philip is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and fully welded from raw Swedish steel in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It is rated for up to 440 lb, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Choose 26 in for counters of 35 to 36 in, 30 in for bars of 39 to 40 in. Full dimensions sit in the dropdown below, and stocked versions ship from our Swedish factory within 1 to 5 business days.

The Philip bar stool is covered by a 10-year warranty, and every seat is rated for a maximum load of 440 lbs (200 kg).

Its welded steel frame is tested and certified for intensive commercial use: it complies with EN 16139 Level 2, the European standard for heavy contract use, EN 1022 for stability and EN 1728 for strength and durability. Certified by RISE, Sweden.

The Matteo velvet is a 100% polyester weave rated at 130,000 Martindale, more than four times the requirement for commercial furniture, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and finished with a water-repellent treatment.

Fire safety is covered by EN 1021-1, the European standard for resistance to ignition from a smoldering cigarette, and California TB 117.

Care & Maintenance

Fabric

Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.

Frame

Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.

Delivery, Returns & Assembly

Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.

Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.

Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.

Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.

Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.

Choose the 26 in (66 cm) counter stool height for islands and counters around 36 in high, and 30 in (76 cm) for bars 40-42 in. Aim for a 9-12 in gap between seat and countertop; custom heights are available via Design Your Own.

One with a full backrest. Philip's backrest is upholstered to full height, so your whole back is supported through long dinners and working sessions. If you also want armrests, look at Bruno.

No. The upholstery is tailored and fixed over a composite seat base, which helps the seat keep its shape for years. Spare parts are available, so worn components can be replaced instead of the whole stool.

Wipe leather with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth; blot spills on velvet or bouclé quickly and avoid scrubbing. The steel frame needs only a damp cloth.
