Description
Carl is an oak counter and bar stool with armrests, a backrest and an upholstered seat, dark-stained oak carrying two sculpted halves of Ivory bouclé, handcrafted in Sweden, in counter height (26 in / 66 cm) or bar height (30 in / 76 cm).
This is the armchair mood in oak: elbows on the armrests, back against the wood, and under you a two-piece bouclé seat over a plywood core, inclined toward the center and shaped for staying. The pale loops glow against the dark frame, and the whole stool keeps its composure at a busy island.
Like every by Crea original, Carl is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and handcrafted from solid FSC-certified German oak in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It is rated for up to 440 lb, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Choose 26 in for counters of 35 to 36 in, 30 in for bars of 39 to 40 in. Full dimensions sit in the dropdown below, and stocked finishes ship from our Swedish factory within 1 to 5 business days.

Fabric
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
Measure your counter first: a standard 36 in counter calls for a 26 in (66 cm) seat, a 40-42 in bar calls for 30 in (76 cm). A gap of 9-12 in between seat and counter works best.
Armrests make sitting for longer noticeably more relaxed and give you support when sitting down and standing up. Carl is our only oak bar stool with armrests, combined with a backrest and a sculpted two-piece seat.
Both are available: solid oak in the same finish as the frame, or a bouclé seat upholstered over a plywood core. The sculpted two-piece shape is the same on both.
Wipe the oak with a damp cloth and mild soap and keep it out of strong sunlight and away from radiators. A bouclé seat just needs any spills blotted quickly and a gentle clean with lukewarm water.
Allow 22-24 in of width per stool so the armrests are clear, and check that your counter overhang leaves clearance for the armrests when the stool is pushed in.
