Description
Wood samples cut from the boards we build with. Oak, Dark oak and Black oak carry the same industrial lacquer as our tabletops. Teak is Grade A, left untreated exactly as our outdoor furniture ships. Order the one you are weighing up, or all four.
Wood is not a color, it is a material with a direction. Lacquered oak shifts noticeably between daylight and lamplight, and grain varies from board to board. That variation is the point of a solid timber top, but it is worth seeing before you choose.
Teak behaves differently again. Left alone outdoors it silvers to a gray patina within a season. Oiled once or twice a year it holds its warm brown. The sample lets you decide which of the two you actually want.

Care & Maintenance
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh detergents and direct sunlight over long periods.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
Four: Oak, Dark oak and Black oak for indoor furniture, plus Grade A teak for the outdoor range. Each is cut from the same stock we build with.
Yes. The oak samples carry the same industrial lacquer as our tops. The teak sample is left untreated, exactly as the outdoor furniture ships.
Very close, but wood is natural. Grain and tone vary slightly from board to board, which is part of how a solid oak or teak surface ages.
No. Untreated teak silvers to a grey patina outdoors within a season. Teak oil once or twice a year keeps the original warm brown if you prefer it.
Samples are dispatched from our factory in Malmö and arrive within one to two working days.
Look at it in daylight and again in the evening. Lacquered oak shifts noticeably under warm light, and that shift is what you will live with.
