Description
The Arvid cushion is a two-piece set built for a chair that stays outside. The seat measures 63.5 × 35.5 cm and the back 63.5 × 61 cm, both 10 cm thick, which is what turns the Arvid frame from an outdoor chair into somewhere you lose an afternoon.
Both pieces are covered in Sunproof Fontelina olefin in Oat or Dusk, 100% solution-dyed at 357 g/m². The color runs through the fibre rather than sitting on the surface, which is why it holds a weathering fastness of 7 to 8, is tested to 1,500 hours of weatherability, rates 4 to 5 against pool and sea water, and carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and UV Standard 801. Inside is high-density outdoor foam that keeps its shape and lets moisture pass rather than holding it.
The cushions rest directly on the teak slats. There is no velcro, no clips and no hardware: weight and dimension are what keep them in place. Both covers unzip and machine wash cool on a gentle cycle, then air dry. The set weighs about 4 kg and lifts off in seconds for drying or winter storage. Handmade in our own factory in Malmö, Sweden and covered by our 10-year warranty. Sold as a set.

Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders to the United States are delivered by UPS, normally 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 35 to 100 USD per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
Oat and Dusk, both Sunproof Fontelina olefin. Oat is a warm off-white, Dusk a mixed grey. Both are solution-dyed, so the colour runs through the fibre rather than sitting on the surface.
Yes. Both covers unzip and wash cool on a gentle cycle. Let them air dry rather than tumble drying. The foam cores are spot clean only.
Very little fading. The olefin holds a weathering fastness of 7 to 8 and is tested to 1,500 hours of weatherability. The fabric is water repellent and the foam lets moisture pass, so the cushions dry outdoors after rain rather than staying wet.
Yes. There is no velcro, no clips and no hardware. Both pieces rest directly on the teak slats of the Arvid frame, and their weight and dimensions keep them positioned in normal use.
Two pieces: a seat cushion at 63.5 × 35.5 cm and a back cushion at 63.5 × 61 cm, both 10 cm thick. The set weighs about 4 kg and is sold together.
In our own factory in Malmö, Sweden. Every cushion is cut, filled and sewn in house.
