Description
Alva is a solid oak bench in a dark oak finish with a cushion in Ivory Dolly bouclé, handcrafted in Sweden from A-grade FSC-certified German oak and available in three lengths: 65, 100 and 130 cm.
Light on dark: the ivory loops sit like a soft bar across the tobacco-brown oak, an inviting contrast for a hallway or the foot of a bed. The bouclé is OEKO-TEX certified and claw-safe tested to BS 8479, a sound choice for homes with pets, and the stained oak beneath is sealed with a natural matte lacquer that needs no oiling.
Like every by Crea original, Alva is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and handcrafted from solid FSC-certified German oak in our own factory in Malmö, and it arrives fully assembled. It carries 200 kg, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Full dimensions for every length are in the dropdown below. Fabric
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.

FAQ
Bare oak is the most minimal option: sculpted wood, nothing to maintain beyond a wipe, and it only gains character with age. The bouclé cushion adds softness for longer sits — at a bed end or in a reading corner. Both use the same bench underneath, so it comes down to how you will use it.
It does not need to match. Natural oak suits light rooms, dark oak warms a room with tobacco-brown depth, and black oak reads almost graphic while the grain stays visible. Contrasting wood tones often look more deliberate than a near-match.
Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. The matte lacquer seals the wood, so no oiling is needed; just avoid standing water and direct heat sources.
Yes. We do not offer a re-covering service, but the bouclé cushion can be bought separately at any time and swapped yourself — so a bare bench can gain a cushion later, and a worn cushion never means a new bench.
