Eight people at a round table is not a Luna. That is a 280 cm rectangle, or a different maker.
Who fits at a round dining table?
Four at 110 cm. Six at 140 cm with Bella, Isabell, Karin, Sella or Erik.
When round is the purchase
Square room, people walking around the table, or a household that hates a hierarchy of seats.
A 110 cm Luna plus 90 cm of floor on all sides needs about 290 cm of room. Measure that before you fall for the 140 cm.
Conversation is easier because nobody faces a corner. Serving dishes share the middle; there is no 'pass to the end'.
When a rectangle is better
Six to ten people as the weekly count, a narrow room, or a wall along one long side.
Ann 160 x 90 cm seats four (six with the ends) in a galley. A 140 cm round in that galley will hit both walls.
Height and chairs
76 cm, same as Ann. Use the same 46 to 50 cm seats. The dining table height page and the chair height page are the pair.
Crossed steel legs free the edge compared with four corner posts. Still check knee room at the feet.
Round or oval?
Round for up to six people in a square room. Oval when more people need to fit in a longer room without corners. We make round, Luna at 110 or 140 cm, and no oval.
An oval is a stretched circle: it seats more along its length and keeps the walkway free of sharp corners. A round table is the better table for talking, because everyone faces the middle and nobody sits at the end.
If you need eight, our honest answer is a rectangle: Ann at 280 cm, or 240 cm with a chair at each end. If you need six in a square room, Luna at 140 cm.
