Edith Garden Dining Chair

Design your own

Description

Edith in the frame colour you choose. The chair is unchanged: a welded stainless steel frame, powder-coated, carrying a slatted A-grade teak seat and backrest, with no armrests. You pick the powder coat.

Four colours, all rated for permanent outdoor exposure and all sprayed in our own factory in Malmö. Black RAL 9005 reads as a shadow line under the teak. Beige RAL 7044 and Taupe NCS S5005-Y20R warm the wood and settle into stone or gravel. White RAL 9016 lifts the chair and holds its own against dark cladding. The teak is the same in all four, and weathers to silver-grey unless you oil it once a year.

Designed by Alexandra Pettersson. Without armrests Edith is 43 cm wide, so more chairs fit along the same table and they push right under it when the evening ends. Seat height 46 cm, total height 79 cm. The chair carries 200 kg and arrives partly assembled: six screws, about five minutes, no special tools. A seat cushion is available separately. Covered by our 10-year warranty and built to be repaired rather than replaced.

“Edith is Signe with the arms taken away. Losing them takes seven centimetres off the width, and that is often the difference between six chairs at the table and eight.”
— Alexandra Pettersson

Durability & Certifications

The Edith garden dining chair is covered by a 10-year warranty, in every frame colour.

Its frame is welded stainless steel to Swedish EN 10088 / 1.4306 (AISI 304L), powder-coated in our own factory in Malmö in the colour you choose: black RAL 9005 GL30, beige RAL 7044 GL30, white RAL 9016 GL30 or taupe NCS S5005-Y20R GL30. All four are rated for year-round outdoor use.

Seat and backrest are A-grade plantation teak from South America. Left untreated the wood weathers to an even silver-grey patina, and the slatted construction drains water so it dries from both sides after rain.

Care & Maintenance

Frame

Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.

Wood

Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.

NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.

Delivery, Returns & Assembly

Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.

Delivery time
Orders across Europe are delivered by UPS, normally 3 to 5 working days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.

Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.

Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 30 to 90 EUR per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount in your own currency before anything is collected.

Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.

FAQ

Four: black RAL 9005, beige RAL 7044, white RAL 9016 and taupe NCS S5005-Y20R. All are powder-coated in our own factory and rated for permanent outdoor exposure. The teak is the same in every one.

The seat sits at 46 cm, which suits outdoor dining tables of 72 to 76 cm. That leaves 26 to 30 cm between the seat and the underside of the table.

Edith has no armrests, which takes the width from 50 cm to 43 cm. You fit more chairs along the same table and they push right under it when the evening ends. Everything else is the same chair.

Nothing at all, if you like the silver-grey. Left untreated the teak weathers to an even patina. To keep the original warm tone, apply teak oil once a year and clean with mild soap and warm water.

No. A seat cushion is available separately and lifts off for drying or winter storage. If you add one, it machine washes cool on a gentle cycle and air dries. The chair is designed to work with it or without it.

Six screws, about five minutes, no special tools. Everything else arrives welded and finished.
