Isabell is a steel dining chair with a backrest upholstered to full height, here in Jade Black vegan leather, handmade in Sweden for people who actually sit through dinner.

One colour, two textures: matte steel and fine-grained leather in the same deep black. The full-height backrest supports your whole back through the longest dinners, the leather wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the tailored upholstery is fixed over a composite base built to keep its shape for years.

Like every by Crea original, Isabell is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and fully welded from raw Swedish steel in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It carries 200 kg, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. It is sized for standard dining tables of 72 to 76 cm, with full dimensions in the dropdown below. This version ships in 1 to 5 days.

The Isabell dining chair is covered by a 10-year warranty, and every seat is rated for a maximum load of 200 kg (440 lbs).

Its welded steel frame is tested and certified for intensive commercial use: it complies with EN 16139 Level 2, the European standard for heavy contract use, EN 1022 for stability and EN 1728 for strength and durability. Certified by RISE, Sweden.

The Valencia vegan leather upholstery is rated at 300,000 Martindale, around ten times the requirement for commercial furniture, carries the PERMABLOK3 protective finish and a 5-year fabric warranty from Spradling.

Fire safety is covered by EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standards for resistance to ignition from a smouldering cigarette and a match flame, as well as CRIB 5, the British contract furniture fire safety requirement.

Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.

Frame

Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.

Yes. Isabell is sized for standard dining tables 72-76 cm high and tucks fully under the table between meals. Allow about 60 cm of table width per chair, so a 180 cm table seats six.

One with a fully upholstered backrest. Isabell's backrest is padded to full height, so your whole back is supported through long dinners. If you want armrests at the table as well, look at the Sella.

We do not offer a re-covering service. The upholstery is tailored and fixed over a composite seat base, which helps the seat keep its shape for years, and seat parts are available separately, so a worn component can be replaced instead of the whole chair.

Wipe the upholstery with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth, and the powder-coated steel frame with a damp cloth. The vegan leather carries an easy-clean protective finish.

No. Isabell suits oak, stone and painted tables alike, and a contrasting chair often looks more considered than a matched set. Many customers mix two Isabell colours around one table for a softer, layered look.
