Backless bar stools
The cleanest line in a kitchen: a backless stool slides fully under the counter and almost disappears. Svea in slim steel and Eva in solid oak are both 38 cm wide, so a 150 cm island takes three. Choose 66 cm for a kitchen island or 76 cm for a bar counter, and Svea can also be made to your exact height.

Made in our own factory in Sweden.
Every stool is made in our own factory in Sweden: steel frames are welded and powder-coated, oak frames are machined and joined, and seats are upholstered by hand. Only the raw materials come from suppliers.

Frequently asked questions
Are backless bar stools uncomfortable?
Not for short sits. For coffee or a quick breakfast a padded backless stool is comfortable. For most people, a backless stool becomes more tiring after about an hour because there is nothing to lean against, so we recommend a backrest for meals and work.
Are backless stools better for small kitchens?
Usually, yes. They slide completely under the counter and free the walkway. Eva and Svea tuck fully under a standard 90 cm counter.
Do backless stools save space?
Yes. They slide fully under the counter when not in use, turning the space behind the island back into a walkway.
Are backless bar stools bad for your back?
Not for short sits. Over a long meal, most people find a backless stool more tiring because there is nothing to lean against, so we recommend a backrest for meals and work.
