Measure the sofa, subtract 80 to 90 cm for two gaps, and what remains is the table you can actually own. A 70 cm table in a 160 cm slot is a fit. A 100 cm table in the same slot is a shin.
How much space does a coffee table need?
Forty to 45 cm from sofa edge to table edge, and the same to the nearest passage if people walk through.
Which of our tables fit a small room?
Anton Small 65 x 55 cm at 41.5 cm high. Anton Medium 70 x 60 cm at 43.5 cm. Leo Small 70 cm round at 42.5 cm.
Anton Medium is still a real coffee table: tray plus a book. Leo Small is the round with no corners. Skip Leo Large (95 cm) and Anton Large (100 x 75 cm) unless the room is only small in one direction and open in the other.
Is a nest better in a small room?
Yes if you keep it closed most days and pull it for guests. No if both tables stay out.
A closed Anton nest is the footprint of the larger table. That is the small-room trick. A Leo nest still shows both rounds, so it reads larger even when overlapped.
Round or rectangle in a tight square?
Round, if the walk goes around the table. Rectangle, if the sofa is the only edge and you want more top.
Corners cost more in a square room than in a long one. Cardboard the diameter on the floor before you order 80 cm.
