Velvet is a very popular fabric choice and we often get questions about care when it comes to children. Our velvet fabrics are woven from polyester threads, which is the most durable form of fabric. The fabrics are also lightly impregnated to be extra water-repellent. The velvet cushions can be washed off. The most important thing is to act quickly, not to let liquids or food sit. Absorb/remove dirt with a dry cloth and then wipe the cushion with a damp microfiber cloth with lukewarm water and a little detergent. Work with slow, circular movements. It is important not to scrub the velvet as this can damage the surface and create irregularities in the microfibers. Leather and polyester fabrics are very durable and easy to clean. What is important to keep in mind is that leather fabrics are sensitive to staining from, for example, new jeans. If you get a stain that definitely does not come off, you can buy a new cushion on our website and replace it yourself by unscrewing the two screws the cushion is attached with on the underside.
