Description
Einar is a solid oak armchair with a deep seat and full-height back cushions, here in natural oak with Ivory Dolly bouclé, handcrafted in Sweden from FSC-certified German oak.
Blond wood, white loops: the Scandinavian reading chair at its most classic. The oak frame carries the cushions on clean straight lines, the bouclé is claw-safe tested and OEKO-TEX certified, and the matte lacquer keeps the wood's natural feel while it slowly collects character.
Like every by Crea original, Einar is designed by Alexandra Pettersson and handcrafted from solid FSC-certified German oak in our Malmö factory, and it arrives fully assembled. It carries 200 kg, the warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with spare parts available long after purchase. Full dimensions sit in the dropdown below. Each one is made to order and ships in 18 to 20 days.
“Einar is Kent's oak sibling: the same relaxed seat, carried by solid oak that only grows more beautiful with age.”

Care & Maintenance
Fabric
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and neutral washing detergent. Do not use ph acidic or basic solutions like acetone or bleach.
Wood
Clean down with a microfibercloth, lukewarm water and a very neutral washing agent. Do NOT use acidic solutions.
Our Oak furniture is lacquered with an industrial lacquer that will fade over time. It is a protective layer. By using acidic solutions you will be removing this protection.
NEVER leave metal pans, pots or candleholders on top of an oak top. Oak naturally has tannic acids that will leave a black round mark if you leave metal objects on the surface.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Delivered to your door. 100% free returns on test pieces. Minimal assembly required.
FAQ
Wipe the oak with a damp cloth and mild soap, and keep it out of direct heat. On the cushions, blot spills straight away and dab gently with lukewarm water rather than scrubbing. The matte lacquer needs no oiling.
Yes. We do not offer a re-covering service, but every cushion can be bought separately and swapped yourself. A worn or marked cushion never means a new armchair, and it also lets you change the fabric later if the room changes.
It does not need to match. Oak suits light rooms, Dark Oak warms a room with tobacco-brown depth, and Black Oak reads almost graphic while the grain stays visible. Contrasting wood tones often look more deliberate than a near-match.
Allow roughly 70-80 cm of width for the armchair itself, plus a little room around it. Full dimensions are in the dropdown below, so you can check the depth against your floor plan before ordering.
Yes. The deep seat and full-height back cushions are made for long reading rather than a quick perch, and they rest on a solid oak frame that is weight-tested in our Malmö factory. Prefer a steel frame? The Kent is Einar's steel sibling.
Yes. Order free samples of Oak, Dark Oak and Black Oak together with the fabrics, or a test armchair with free returns, and compare the finishes in your own light.
Ten years. Einar is shaped, finished and assembled in our own factory in Malmö, Sweden from solid A-grade FSC-certified German oak, and every seat is rated for a maximum load of 200 kg (440 lbs).
