Description
Thomas is a floor candle holder in taupe powder-coated steel with a clear glass cylinder, handmade in Sweden and sized for pillar candles. The Large version stands 117 cm tall on a flat circular base with a diameter of 20 cm.
The removable glass cylinder shields the flame and keeps the candle centred, so Thomas can stand by an open window or a doorway where a bare flame would flicker. On its own it is a single quiet vertical line; add the other heights later and the group builds the stepped skyline Thomas is known for.
Like every by Crea original, Thomas is designed by Alexandra Pettersson, welded from raw Swedish steel and powder-coated in our own factory in Malmö. The warranty runs ten years, and repair beats replacement here, with the glass cylinder available separately as a spare part. Pillar candles up to 9 cm in diameter and no more than 15 cm tall fit inside the 20 cm glass cylinder. Candles are not included.
“I drew Thomas as three heights of the same line. The glass keeps the flame calm, and together they build a small skyline wherever you have floor space.”

Care & Maintenance
Frame
Wipe with a microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a normal cleaning agent. Refrain from using too acidic solutions as this will fade out the outer protection of the powder-coat.
Delivery, Returns & Assembly
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, so you see the exact cost before you pay. A tracking link reaches you by email the moment your order leaves our factory in Malmö, Sweden.
Delivery time
Orders across Europe are delivered by UPS, normally 3 to 5 working days after dispatch. Made to order pieces are produced first, and that production time is shown on this page.
Assembly
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled. Dining tables and some outdoor pieces arrive with the top and legs packed separately, and fitting them takes 5 to 10 minutes and one screwdriver.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return, provided the piece is unused and in its original condition. Email info@by-crea.com or open the chat and we will arrange it. Return shipping is paid by you at the carrier's actual rate, typically 15 to 20% of the order value, or roughly 30 to 90 EUR per package depending on size and destination. We confirm the exact amount in your own currency before anything is collected.
Custom orders
Anything configured through Design Your Own, with custom dimensions, finishes or materials, is produced specifically for your order and is not eligible for return. Order free samples first, or ask us in the chat, and we will help you get it right the first time.
FAQ
This is the Large size at 117 cm on a 20 cm base. The other heights are sold separately, and 2-set and 3-set combinations bring them together.
Pillar candles up to 9 cm in diameter and no more than 15 cm tall, so the flame stays below the rim of the 20 cm glass cylinder. The cylinder lifts out for cleaning and shields the flame from draughts. Candles are not included.
Thomas is designed for indoor use. The powder-coated steel frame and glass cylinder are made for residential rooms rather than weather exposure.
Wipe the steel with a damp cloth and mild soap. The glass cylinder lifts out and can be washed by hand to remove wax and soot.
Yes. The clear glass cylinder is available on its own product page as a spare part, so a broken glass never retires the candleholder.
Yes. Thomas comes in black, beige, white and taupe, all powder-coated in our own factory in Malmö. Use the colour swatches on this page to switch between them.
